Driven by a commitment to professionalism, patient safety and excellence in healthcare, I have built my career across clinical practice, medical education, governance and regulation. I am passionate about supporting doctors at all stages of their careers and contributing to a strong, trusted and future-focused profession.

With 25 years in medicine, including more than two decades in general practice, I bring extensive experience in educational leadership, governance and regulation. My work across clinical practice, medical education, and professional leadership has given me a deep understanding of the challenges facing doctors and the opportunities to strengthen our profession.

The responsibilities of the Mutual Board relate to providing overall guidance and control of the organisation and a focus on the needs of members. Avant is member owned and members’ voice matters!
